Trunks and crowns are lying in various places in that part of the forest and there are piles of firewood along the trails. From 1 March to 30 June however, the wood extraction stops (\u201cschoon\u201d time) and the loggers are not allowed to continue their work. \u201cSchoon\u201d time comes from the German \u201cSchonen\u201d meaning \u2018save\u2019, \u2018protect\u2019. The \u201cschoon\u201d period helps to protect the vegetation (spring flowers), to \u2018save\u2019 and not to disturb the nesting birds.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Permission for commercial or professional photo shoots, with or without models, or film recordings must be requested via the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.natuurlocaties.be\/filmloket?language=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">box office<\/a><\/strong>. In the Hallerbos you must always stay on the paths, also when taking pictures and filming. The soil and vegetation are fragile and very sensitive to trampling.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The use of drones is not allowed in the forest.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-blog-shortcode fusion-blog-shortcode-1 fusion-blog-archive fusion-blog-layout-medium-alternate fusion-blog-pagination\"><div class=\"fusion-posts-container It is forbidden to come to the forest by car.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Enjoy a walk in your neighbourhood. This is to prevent the spreading of the corona virus.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wild daffodils are flowering but starting to wither. Wood anemones are the most conspicuous flowers in the wood now. Lesser celandine with its yellow, star-shaped flowers can be seen on the edges, along the paths. A few blue bells start flowering on just very few places. Last week\u2019s showers have left their trace on the wild daffodils.
