Unfortunately the route runs straight through the Hallerbos. In 2010-2011 a wildlife fence was placed along the RO over a length of 3.7 km. In the fence there are 12 roe deer entrances and 12 badger doors. The Agency for Nature and Forest financed the work. In combination with the wildlife tunnel at Pipaenshoek, deer and other animals can migrate freely again in the forest.
